Ein Foto eines Gemäldes, das ich vor Jahren verkauft habe, ist Ausgangspunkt einer Reihe digitaler Variationen. Bei dieser ersten Version handelt es sich um eine Reproduktion mit den digitalen Pinseln von Photoshop, die dem Original sehr nahe kommt. Es entstand seinerzeit unter dem Eindruck des Films von Wim Wenders – Paris/Texas. Die Neufassung ist auch ist es einer der ersten Versuche, Malerei mit Musik zu verbinden – Ry Cooders Soundtrack war die Initialzündung für das Gemälde, und es ist kein Zufall, dass dieses und andere Werke mit Musikbezug die Dimensionen eines Albumcovers haben …
Wie würden andere Künstler Musik in ihrem eigenen Stil malen? Auch hier tauchte die Frage auf und weil ich neugierig war, lud ich einige Künstler aus verschiedenen Epochen zum fiktiven ParisTexasKongress ein.

A photo of a painting I sold years ago is the starting point for a series of digital variations. This first version is a reproduction using Photoshop's digital brushes, which is very close to the original. It was created under the impression of Wim Wenders' movie "Paris/Texas". The new version is also one of the first attempts to combine painting with music - Ry Cooder's soundtrack was the initial spark for the painting, and it is no coincidence that this and other music-related works have the dimensions of an album cover...
How would other artists paint music in their own style? The question arose here too and because I was curious, I invited a few artists from different eras to the fictitious ParisTexasCongress.
